Who We Are
After a twenty-year career on Wall Street, Tom Felgner founded Oliver Regan Advisors in 2016 in order to provide institutional-quality financial consulting and asset management to investors and foundations in the Pasadena area. Tom has experience as a fixed-income trader, an equity-derivative trader, and as a hedge fund manager managing over a billion dollars of institutional client assets. At Oliver Regan we pride ourselves on helping investors evaluate advisors and investments, decrease fees, minimize taxes, and avoid ill-advised investment strategies.
Tom graduated from Duke University in 1994 with a BA in economics, summa cum laude, and graduated from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 1995 with a concentration in finance. He worked at Lehman Brothers from 1995 to 2001 as a Vice President trading convertible securities, and at Bank of America Securities from 2001 to 2002 as a Principal in convertible bond trading. From 2002 to 2010 he was a hedge fund portfolio manager at FrontPoint Partners and Morgan Stanley. Tom was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley managing convertible bond, quantitative equity, equity derivative, and fixed-income arbitrage strategies for several different funds. From 2011 to 2016 he was a Managing Director at Wedbush Securities running a proprietary trading group. He lives in South Pasadena with his wife and two children.
